A Brief Reflection: Finding Tranquility in Daily Life
In the midst of life's craziness, it is truly important to prioritize the things that make you, you. Whether alone or surrounded by others being in touch with the world around you can provide both peace and tranquility. Escaping the business of daily life and taking a step back in the beauty that surrounds you may very well lead to a sense of internal peace.
My Experience

I often find that at the end of every week I return home feeling stressed and overwhelmed. Often times, I allow the hecticness of my daily life to get the best of me and am left feeling drained and empty. When I have these emotions it is vital for me to do the things that I enjoy and priorities the things that truly make me happy. One thing that almost always restores balance in my life is spending time outdoors. When I set aside time to spend time outside and follow through with my decision I have the opportunity to find that peace I feel as though I was missing. Most often I either hike or run along several wilderness trails near my home and regain the joyous mentality I felt as though I was missing. With each step taking me deeper into the woods I find tranquility, with each gust of wind new breath and breathed in and I am able to at last find serenity. While on these hikes I try to reflect on my week and better myself to ensure an even better week to come. My hikes are something I truly value each week and are crucial in ensuring a positive and upbeat mentality.
How to Have Moments Such As This In Your Life
To find this moment in your own life it's important to engage in activities that you enjoy. Find what makes you happy and add that to a weekly routine to prevent getting in a place where you feel stressed and overwhelmed. Value moments of quiet and occasionally being alone to reflect on yourself and escape that chaos of daily life. However, what's most important is to be surrounded by individuals who build you and make you strive to be the best version of yourself by creating a balance of all of these things you will have the ability to overcome whatever obstacle may be in your way.
