Welcome Fall: How to Make The Most Of The Autumn Season

I absolutely love fall, everything about it; from the moderate temperatures, and spooky ambiance to the beautiful orange tones, and the delicious foods only eaten around this time of year. I guess what Iove most about the season is watching the world undergo change right before my very eyes. As I watch the once-green trees alter into new and vibrant colors, it serves as a reminder that there is beauty in change.

With fall now upon us, there is truly nothing greater than to be outdoors and embracing the change of the nature around you. Due to COVID many traditional fall activities will be looking significantly different; however, I wanted to offer some fun COVID-friendly activities that will surely brighten your day and invoke those spooky season feels. I like to offer some fun ways to be getting outdoors during this time and also some fine activities that can be done from the comfort of home

Getting Outdoors

"Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go." -Unkown

Hiking

My favorite way to embrace fall is taking hikes. I love to be outdoors and there's no better way to be viewing the autumn foliage than to emerge in its beauty. Whether with friends, family, or even by yourself being in nature is always a great way to reflect and find peace in the midst of life's craziness.

Apple Picking

Apple picking is always an Autumn must. It's a great way to connect with friends and family and is a fun way to be spending time outdoors. Not only does it meantime out of the house but it also means a fun tasty treat to bring home. In light of the Corona Virus outbreak, this is still an activity that can be carried out through social distancing and is a great way of connecting with nature.

Staycation

An additional way to be embracing the change brings is to visit somewhere new. As travel is no longer an option There's a new opportunity in finding beauty in the world around you. Taking camping trips is an additional way to emerge in the outdoors. Whether on a backpacking trip or in a tent in your backyard camping is a great way to soak up the outdoors thought the entirety of the fall season.

Pumpkin Picking and Carving

Another fun way to get outdoors and embrace nature is to go pumpkin picking. It's a great way to bond with family or friends and invokes the feelings fall brings. After selecting the perfect pumpkins, you can collaborate together to carve them and create something new.

Not Into the Outdoors?

Even if spending time outdoors isn't your style there's still plenty of fun ways to welcome autumn change. Here are some fun activities you can take part in from the comfort of home.

“The heat of autumn is different from the heat of summer. One ripens apples, the other turns them to cider.”- Jane Hirshfield

Bake Your Favorite Fall Treat

One of my favorite things about fall is the delicious food. Spending time making your favorite treat is a fun use of your day and is rewarding to see the yummy treats you can create.

Create Autumn Art

If Art is your talent this activity is definitely for you. Get inspired by the world around you and create art based on its beauty. Paintings, sketches, leaf presses, it all goes. Even if art isn't your calling it's a fun way to make the most of an autumn day and connect with the beauty around you.

Curl Up With Your Favorite Novel

A fun way to get in the autumn mood is to curl up with your favorite blanket and read a novel. With a Hot beverage in hand and the comforting pages of a book, this is truly a fun way to feel the comfort the season brings and enjoy the simplicity of an autumn day.
